If you are new to the Conover Online System and want to learn how to get your users a credential by using one of our products, this article will show you each step in this process.  For each step, we will provide you with links to other articles where you can view detailed information on how to perform each step.

We will focus on Workplace Readiness, but this information can be applied to any product we offer.  If you have any questions, please reach out to us via our in-app messenger, contact form or support@conovercompany.com.

The first step is to create an account for each user that you would like to obtain a credential for.  All you need is the user’s name and email address.  The email address does not have to be real.  You can make one up.

There are a few ways to accomplish this.

1. Manually enter a user.  If you only have a few users, this is the easiest way to get a user added to the system.  https://conoveru.com/create-a-user-or-student-account/

2. Batch Import a list of users.  If you have multiple users, you can batch import them via a specially formatted file.  https://conoveru.com/batch-import-user/

Before you begin making assignments, you need to know what to assign.  There are a variety of product suites available in Conover Online, we want to make sure you make the correct choice.  Your System Admin or the person in charge of your program probably has a good idea of what you should assign.  They most likely purchased Conover Online to meet a specific requirement at your school.  Reach out to them if you are not sure.  Conover may also have some of this information, so feel free to reach out to us if you are not sure.  We do keep notes on what each customer is using and can look up past users to see how they used the system.

Once you know what product (or products) to assign, we want to let you know about they options that are available to you when you assign.

Bundles

Most of our products have a “bundle” package that will allow you to get access to an entire “suite” of programs for one low price.  For example, our Workplace Readiness program has a total of 20 possible assignments.  We offer access to all 20 for the price of 5 credits.  Most customers take advantage of this bundle.  The bundles also have an option to control how these assignments are made.  This article will explain these options: https://conoveru.com/making-bundle-assignment/

If you use the bundle, you will also get access to 1 free reassignment of any failed skill enhancement.  This article will explain this new feature: https://conoveru.com/free-reassignment-of-a-failed-skill-enhancement/

Manually Assign

Some products do not have a bundle, or your System Administrator has decided to only use a small part of the product in order to manage costs.  If you do not want to use a bundle or the product does not have one, you will be able to choose individual assignments from the product “suite”.

Now that you have your user accounts created and you know what assignment(s) you would like to make for each user, you can apply that assignment to the user’s account.  There are two ways to do this

1. Manually assign each product to the users.  If you only have a few users, this is a pretty simple process.  https://conoveru.com/make-an-assignment-for-my-user-or-student/

2. Mass assign to more that one user at a time. If you have a multiple users who need the same assignment applied to their account, we have a feature that will allow you to do this.  It will save you a lot of time from having to manually assign to each user.  https://conoveru.com/batch-assignment/

Once you have the user assignments made, the users can log into their account and start working on the assignments.  Users login to their accounts using the email address and password that you created for them in Step 1.  If a user is having problems logging into their account, this link will help. https://conoveru.com/how-does-a-user-login/

Once your users start working on the assignment, all you need to do is monitor their usage.  There are few ways to do this.

View the activity stream in the dashboard.

When you log into your account, the first thing you see is the activity stream.  This window will show you the activity that is happening in your account.  To view only the user assignment activity, use the drop-down and choose Assignment activity and then select Filter.  You will see the list of user activity.

View the user’s Assignment Dashboard.

Each user has a list of assignments and reports that you can access.  To do this select View Accounts.

Find the user and select the user’s name or email address.

This will bring up the user’s profile.  Within the Assignment dashboard, select the program that you want to view the user assignments for.

The assignments will be listed.  You can also view the report for the credential or any completed assignment.

View the Summary Report.

If you want an overview of all user activity for a specific program, we have a Summary report that will save this data in a spreadsheet for you.  Select Reports.

Choose the product you want a summary report for.

Select Summary Report from the report options.

Choose your group, choose the program (if available) and then select No for only passing scores.  When you generate a report, it will be done in the background and you will be emailed a link when it is ready.

Once your users start completing all of their assignments, you will need to see if they have passed all sections of the program.  There are three ways to do this.

View the Credential via the Assignment Dashboard

The fastest way to see if a user completed the credential is to view the credential. To do this, select View Accounts.

Make sure you have Users selected for the account type.

Find the user who you would like to view a credential for.  Select the user’s name or email address.

This will bring up the user profile.  In the Assignment Dashboard, find the product that you want to view the credential for.  Select the arrow next to the product name to view the user’s product activity.

When the product expands, find the link Summary. This report will list out the passing scores for all of the pre-assessment or post-assessments.

At the bottom of the report it will say if the user passed or not.

View the Credential via Reports

You can also access all credentials via the Reports page.  Select Report.  Choose the product that you want to view a credential for. Choose the Credential option.  This will list all of the user credentials for that program.

Run a Summary Report

If you want to view the scores for all of your users in your group, you can run a summary report.  Select Reports.  Choose the product you want to run a summary report for.  Choose the Summary Reports option. Make sure to select Yes to Only Passing Scores.  This report will show you only the passing scores for each unit in the program for every user in your group.  Select Generate.  Your report will generate in the background.  You will receive an email with a link to your report when it is ready.  This link will help you out: https://conoveru.com/summary-report/

If your user did not pass a section and you used the bundle, any of those skill enhancements will automatically be reassigned.  If you have that option turned off, you can still maunaully reassign the skill enhancement for free.

If you did not use the bundle or you want to give your user a an additional try at passing the skill enhancement, you can reassign the unit for an additional credit. This is preference/policy set by your organization.  Most customers give the user 1 additional try to pass the unit.  This link will show you how to reassign: https://conoveru.com/reassign-an-assignment-or-activity/

Once your users have successfully completed the credential, you have the option to print it  This link will show you how to print a credential for an individual user and an entire group of users: https://conoveru.com/how-to-view-or-print-a-credential/
